SOME IMPORTANT TIPS ON DRY BRUSH MASSAGE
1. Every two weeks or so wash your brush with soap and water and dry it in the sun or in a warm place. Your brush will be rapidly filled with impurities and should be washed regularly.
2. For hygienic reasons, use separate brushes for each member of the family.
3. Avoid brushing the parts of your skin that are irritated, damaged or infected.
4. The scalp should be brushed, too. For scalp brushing, a good natural bristle brush is a must — no other substitute will do. Scalp brushing will stimulate hair growth by increasing blood circulation, and keep scalp clean from dandruff, stale oils and other impurities.
5. The facial skin of most people is too sensitive for brushing; therefore, it is better to leave it alone.
6. If you don’t have a brush with an extended handle, ask your husband or wife to help you with the brushing. Brush massage is doubly enjoyable when somebody else gives it to you. A mutual morning and evening brush massage session may even add a new dimension to your marriage!
7. If your skin is dry and shows the signs of premature aging, an excellent way to improve the quality of your skin and the looks of your complexion is to rub or massage your whole body with a nourishing oil immediately after dry brushing. Particularly, the following oils are recommending: sesame oil, avocado oil, almond oil.
